Village Creek State Park Village Creek Campground offers 104 Class A campsites complete with dual voltage electrical outlets, freeze-proof water hookups, table and grill. There are five modern bathouses, two sanitary trailer stations, a swimming beach, playgound, boat dock and launch ramp. Village Creek State Park is located on Highway 284 approximately 13 miles from exit 242 on I-40 near Forrest City. Call Visitor Center to make campsite reservations at (870) 238-9406. Mississippi River State Park Mississippi River State Park was created through special permission by the USDA Forest Service. It is part of the St. Francis National Forest. Campsites are situated on a wooded peninsula of Bear Creek Lake with beautiful lake views. The campsites are surrounded by spectacular wildlife and birding habitat.
